Come on in!

First things first; Thank you for clicking this far! I intend this blog to run alongside the Facebook group I have created to give you some FREE dog training advice and things you can work on from home starting today!

As a first blog post I thought it would be a good idea to tell you a bit about myself and my background.

I am Rob and I live in Buxton, Derbyshire. I grew up in Stockport and always had a passion for the outdoors. Upon realising this I completed my Duke of Edinburgh Gold award and moved away to Penrith in the Lake District to study BA (Hons) Outdoor Education. Three years later my love for the mountains was stronger than ever however unfortunately I could not realistically stay in the area due to lack of a job so I moved back to Stockport. It wasn't long before I had a craving for Outdoor activities so spent a lot of time in the Peak District which was handily only a train ride away. It was at this point I applied for a job in Buxton at Go Ape!. I worked at Go Ape! for five years and loved every minute of it. It then became clear that I wanted something different, a change and not a small one.

In 2018 I decided it was time for me to set up my own Dog walking and training business in Buxton. There was a market for one to one dog walkers so I went for it! Two years later and now I'm a fully qualified member with the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) and I am now offering dog walking and training to dog owners in Buxton and the surrounding areas.

Currently it's Friday 1st May 2020 and the country is in a state of lockdown. We find ourselves in a very bizarre time. Unfortunately I have taken the decision to currently suspend dog walking and training in person until it is safe to do so again. However I have now taken steps to move things online offering one to one training sessions with dog owners from the

comfort of their own homes.

That's enough about me! If you have any training queries or questions then please use the contact me page and get in touch.

Keep your eyes peeled for my next post and again Thank you for taking the time to get this far!
